Hello, I am Caleb Bae, the founder of this website. In this post, I plan to introduce myself to the readers and show a brief glimpse into who I am as a person and the people around me who helped me become the person I am today.
I come from a Korean family of five: a loving dad, mom, brother, sister, and me. My siblings and I are triplets, and our connection from the womb has continued to this day. Our tight-knit family is one of the most important influences on my life. My dad, a dentist, is the man who has inspired my career to become a dentist as well. He is the epitome of hard work: he is always working hard in whatever he does, and he is constantly doing something, whether it be gardening, fixing odds and ends around the house, etc. My mom is more of a quiet leader, someone who can take charge yet stay out of the limelight most of the time. She is a very determined women with a strong work ethic like my dad. I feel that I am the most similar to my mom in terms of character. My sister, Cara, is quiet like my mom, but in a different way. She is more of a shy kid on the outside, but still possesses a deep maturity inside of her. And then there are her outbursts. Cara will have periods when she will almost not speak at all, then all of a sudden, she spills all her feelings to you. It really depends on her mood, I guess. Caden is the most outgoing and the most social. He thrives off of spending time with others, and he if he isn't physically talking with friends, he's texting them on his phone. Caden is also very supportive of others. He is just always seems to be there for you and is always available to calm down arguments in a skillful and efficient manner for both parties.
And then there's me, Caleb. As stated before, I am most similar to my mom in how I act. We are both very determined individuals who can not rest until the assignment is completed. Whether it be my studies or my hobbies, I constantly find myself pushing for the goal I have set out for myself. Also, I would like to view myself as a good leader, though that is still in its development stage. I lack what Caden and my dad have lots of: socializing skills. I am very shy like Cara, potentially more so than her. It's just really hard for me to get myself to talk to other people, and I think that might be the biggest obstacle in the way of me being a leader. My mom and dad have already mastered that skill, and I am still working on it. Together, my family and I have formed this deep bond with each other, strengthening our weaknesses and uplifting our accomplishments to create this thriving family structure. The Bae family is indeed a great household, and I am blessed to be part of it.
The biggest influence on my life (even bigger than my family life), is my faith in Jesus Christ. From birth, I was born a Christian, following the path that God has set out for me. Without Him, my life would have no meaningful goal to reach; all that determination would be for nothing. Without God, my family that I value so much would be in shambles. Without God, I could never achieve what I've already achieved nor reach other achievements in the future. Without God, I could never be Caleb Bae. He has been the one that ultimately has never failed me, the one who was by my side even through the struggles and the pitfalls. From the moment I accepted true salvation in Jesus' body and blood until now, God has never let me down, never disregarded my prayers, never gave up on me. Whether it be times of exceeding joy and happiness or times of sin and depression, He has always been there. He is not only a God; He is my Father, Savior, and Supporter. I've faced many problems that I couldn't handle, many trials that seemed too big to be overcome. Yet, whenever I sought God, He was always there, holding my hand I as I journey through this life.
This website is built to share my personal take on this "journey through life". And what it that? My God and His plan for me. Through this website, I hope to share to you how God's hand is apparent in the life of just an ordinary high school boy like me. It doesn't have to be big or exciting; it's only God and the family He has given me.
