Community Oral Care Stories: Part 9

As the description says, yesterday was our first denture cleaning in a long time. Actually the first time of 2025. A lot of things happened on both ends, but the nursing home and us finally got the schedule figured out. So we went in yesterday and cleaned dentures. It went pretty normally, but it was good to see the familiar faces that I hadn't seen in a while. One thing I figured out was that they think we're dental students. One of the workers made a comment about it, but we couldn't clarify to them that we're actually high schoolers working in a nonprofit. I guess it doesn't matter whose cleaning the dentures; the important thing is that everyone's dentures are cleaned. And that's what yesterday was all about.
