Today is Thursday, meaning that I intern at the other office. This is where I do most (maybe even all, I'm not sure), of my dentist shadowing, and that offers a change of scenery from the usual front desk work. Now, I still did a lot of front desk work today, I'm not saying I didn't, but I just did more dental activity. In fact, I think I do more front desk work at today's office than at the other office. At the other office, I mainly clean chairs and sterilize the tools; here I do more shadowing and scanning. Either one is useful; I just find today's office more enjoyable.

One uplifting part of the day was that a man brought in ice cream and cookies. To a dental office! Very odd, but still greatly enjoyed. The man who brought in these sugary food was well known throughout the office, and when everyone saw him, their faces broke out into smiles. He was also very talkative, quickly striking up a conversation with the receptionist. It was a good time, hearing his stories and seeing his gifts. He completely lifted the mood in a tremendous way. This was definitely the highlight of the day, if not the whole week. Who knows what happens tomorrow, let's see.
