Dental Internship Stories: Part 4

What a horrible way to start the week. I went to bed past 12:30 last night, so I only got around 5.5 hours of sleep last night. At my internship, my siblings and I had to start organizing and calling dental offices from all 50 states for our research paper, and I was cranky. Last night, we were discussing on how to formulate our research paper, but it took a long time, which left me very tired. So this morning, I yelled a lot at my siblings and got mad easily. It was just one of those days, I guess. You can't be perfect all the time.

As for the researching, it was rough. My goal was for each of us to find 20 dental offices each of 4 states, which would add up to 240 offices. That would allow us to finish finding all the dental offices by the end of the week and to start calling those offices the next week. But finding offices that accepted state insurances were so bad, as a lot of the states didn't list which dental offices were part of their network. Also, we tried calling a couple offices, and those experiences were not good. They kept on asking too much questions we didn't know how to answer! Anyways, we got it done, even though the calls themselves may have been very embarrassing. Lots of things didn't go well today. Better luck next time.
