Dental Internship Stories: Part 7

Today was payday! As you can see in the picture above, I'm very happy. Sadly, that was about the only bright side of my internship, but at least I got my first pay check! I've got certain plans with what I want to do with my money, but I won't tell that here. One thing that I noticed is that around 20% of my income went to taxes. If people lose 20% of their pay check on minimum wage, how much more for other people earning higher salaries? I guess that's for everyone though. Taxes are universally hated.

Other than my pay check, nothing eventful happened. Just hours of cleaning and researching more dental offices for our research project. We at least got to end early though. Since my dad's last two patients couldn't come, we were planning to leave at 3:00, but a patient had to have his crown fixed, so we had to stay for another 30 minutes. That wasn't that great.

After interning, we went to Milford Regional Medical Center, the hospital we plan to volunteer at soon. It was way cleaner than Tufts, and I enjoyed the vibes I got from there. I'm not sure if I'll start a new series with that or just include it in the same category as these internship posts. I'll decide that later, and you readers will eventually see what I decide on. Other than that, I think I recapped everything for today. Good night.
