A lot has happened over the past week or so. It was really busy and eventful, so I forgot to blog consistently. But now I'm back, this time for the final school day of 2024. All three of us (which means Caden, Cara, and I) all got rejected from Brown. I know that wasn't the result that we wanted, but I believe that it was God's way of telling us to trust in His plan for us and not our own. In a way, I think He was protecting us from the liberal ideas at Brown. But I won't talk to much about that topic. I just need to move on from it, you know?
As for basketball, it's been alright. We're 2-1 right now. I'm getting way more play time year, even playing with the first team as the first guard off the bench. It's feels good to play but also nerve-racking, as I don't have much experience. I mainly just shoot threes and play defense, so kind of like a 3-and-D player. I'm not the best at defense, but I think I improved enough for coach to notice me. But I still need to improve and develop. This is my final year, and I wanna make the most out of it.
As for today, I didn't do any work but just chilled with my friends in "classes". I played knockout on one of those mini hoops in one period and also worked with student government for a gingerbread house contest in the afternoon. We each split into grades, and our senior class's house was looking good. The plot twist was that we needed to have the tallest chimney, but we used some cardboard as a support element for our chimney. So we were disqualified. Either way, it was fun to be part of the competition and a pretty good success for the student government.
That's a pretty decent wrap-up for the past week or so since I've posted. I'm not sure how much I'll blog over the next few weeks of vacation, but we'll see.
