Busy and eventful week.

This week was really busy; that's why I didn't post a lot. Anyways, Monday was the game against our rivals for basketball. They beat us by 30 or 40 last year, and we were expecting to get smacked again. But we somehow got an early 14-point lead by the 1st quarter, and we finished with only a 6-point loss. The refs were horrible, but I don't wanna blame anyone for our loss (but we really should have won). I actually played a bit in that game, but I bricked 3 3-pointers. On Wednesday, we had a chili contest between our class. My group was more spicier and flavorful, and Caden and Cara's group was more bland and mild. A lot of the teachers came to judge. It was roughly a split vote between them, but I personally believe ours was better. That chili was actually really good, better than the buffalo chicken dip we made before. I think that the chili could be the best thing we made in home ec this year. Thursday was midterm day (we already took government and finance midterms on Monday and Wednesday respectively), where I took English and Calc. English was harder than I expected, and math was easier, but I hope I get 100s on both of them. Lastly, on Friday, was another basketball game. This game was important because it was one of those game that could decide whether we make or don't make the playoffs. Well, to summarize, we smoked them. It wasn't even close. This team was only a couple spots higher than us in the rankings coming into Friday's game, and yesterday we showed them that we belong to be higher than them. I personally had a bad game. We were on an open breakaway, and I got the ball. I just grabbed it and shot a 3, without even looking at my other teammates. It was a horrible shot, and I still feel bad about it. After that shot, I didn't shoot the ball again. However, two of my other teammates popped off from 3, so we were fine. I just need to learn to not get flustered and pass the ball.
