School Stories: Part 41

Today's basketball game was a big one. It was one of those games that can only help you in the rankings because of how good the team is. We already had been blown out by this time earlier in the season, so now we wanted revenge. Long story short, we lost by 19, but the scores don't tell the full story. I honestly believed we played decently; it was just that they shot the ball really well while we missed our shots, especially from behind the arc. It was definitely a better match than our previous game with them, even with them getting their star player back. We grabbed boards, made plays, but just missed the shots at the end of the possession. It was just one of those games where our efforts weren't reflected in the score. Well, I shouldn't say "we" because I only played like the final minute of the game. We wanted to use our height to our advantage this game, so coach played the big men a lot today. Hey, at least I'm the loudest kid on the bench.

On the other hand, I got my first college acceptance this afternoon! My siblings and I got accepted in UMass Amherst, and I even got into their honor college. It's a step in the right direction, but I did wish they gave us three a better offer (financially speaking). I feel like they low-balled us, but at least we are in a university.
