School Stories: Part 45

Today was senior night for basketball, which means that me and my brother both got to start. This wasn't my first time starting, but coach thought it was (since it was my brother's first time starting), but that doesn't matter. What matters was the game itself. It was a nailbiter, with the refs making bad calls for both teams and each team gaining one point, two point leads over the other. Towards the end of the 3rd to the beginning of the 4th quarter, we were down by about 8, but we locked in. We caught up and regained the lead, but with like 8 seconds left, we were down 1. Then one of my teammates made drove to the hoop, found one of our big men, and the big man laid it in for the win with like 2 seconds remaining. It was amazing, as this game made us qualify for the playoffs while also being our senior night. It was great, and we celebrated like crazy. This is the reason why I play basketball, to be part of a team like this.
