Yesterday was the end of our regular season. This game was originally not supposed to happen during February break, but a bunch of weather delays led to the game happening on a Thursday during the break. Either way, it wasn't that good for us. This was the team that we had upset by winning by 1 at our home court, so they were out for revenge. Also, the team really needed to beat us to get a first round playoff home game, so they really wanted to smack us. And they kind of did. We ended up losing by over 20 points, though I think the refs screwed us over. I think we got like 3 fouls calls all game while they got like over 20 (I'm not sure exactly what the number was, but it was super unfair). But the team itself played well, too. They played great defense on all our starters, and we couldn't get much going. We did manage to run our plays really well, but we just kept on missing. Their offense seemed to run through 2 players, but those two kids kept on shooting threes and making a lot of them. Towards the end of the game, I got to play, and I played super hard. Like, this is my last regular season game ever, so I guarded their best kid and clamped him up. Nah, I'm overexaggerating, but I definitely flustered that kid. He was nice though, and there was no hard feelings between us. Anyways, that's the end to my last regular season at Calvary. We finished 11-9, so one win better than last year. It was a great season, filled with tight games and great team bonding. Hopefully we can win a playoff game this year.
