Today was really busy, if the not the busiest day of volunteering. I don't even know if I sat down even once during those three hours; that's how busy it was today. I probably wheeled 6-8 patients and probably cleaned 12 sets of wires. One thing other than the business that I observed was that the nurses started talking to me more. I found it hard to get close to any one nurse because the nurses keep on switching every week, which naturally leads to little talking between each other. But today, I talked with a lot of different nurses. I think the reason for this was that I was cleaning all those wires, which the nurses hate cleaning. And for doing them a favor, I guess a got a lot more conversations going with them! Okay, maybe I'm exaggerating the amount of talking I did today, but I did notice a considerable difference from previous weeks. Also, I started hating cleaning the wires less. I mean, with all that practice, I better have gotten good at it. I'm still not fast, but I'm slowly improving. I've got two more weeks at the hospital, so I'll try to make the most of it.
